There’s something special about a community that comes together to help its neighbors.
Throughout August, Jessup Farm Artisan Village is celebrating Kindness Matters Month by collecting donations for two incredible local nonprofits that are making a difference every single day: Project Self-Sufficiency of Northern Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program.
Whether you stop by for your morning coffee, lunch with friends, or an afternoon of shopping, you can be part of something meaningful simply by bringing along a donation.
Supporting Local Families
For more than 40 years, Project Self-Sufficiency has helped low-income single parents throughout Larimer and Weld counties build brighter futures through education, career training, personalized advising, and family support services.
This month, Jessup Farm is collecting hygiene products that many families use every day but can be difficult to afford. Items like laundry detergent, diapers, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, feminine hygiene products, and dish soap may seem simple, but they help ease financial stress and allow parents to focus on reaching their educational and career goals.
Every bottle of shampoo, every package of diapers, and every tube of toothpaste can make a real difference for a family in our community.
Giving Birds of Prey a Second Chance
We're also proud to support the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, a Fort Collins nonprofit that has spent nearly four decades rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured and orphaned birds of prey. Each year, the organization cares for more than 300 raptors and successfully releases approximately 75% of treatable birds back into the wild. They also educate thousands of community members through school visits, public programs, and outreach events featuring their ambassador birds.
Their wildlife hospital relies on donated supplies to care for these incredible animals. During Kindness Matters Month, we're collecting some of their most-needed items, including unscented laundry bleach, unscented liquid laundry detergent, nitrile gloves, paper towels, and disinfecting wipes.
It's a simple way to help protect Colorado's wildlife and support an organization that has been caring for our region's raptors for generations.
Bring one or more requested items with you during your next visit to Jessup Farm and drop them off with any participating merchant throughout the month of August. If you'd rather make a monetary donation, you can also scan the QR codes displayed on our Kindness Matters posters located throughout the village.

No donation is too small.
One package of diapers. One bottle of laundry detergent. One roll of paper towels. Every contribution adds up and helps support organizations doing incredible work right here in Northern Colorado.
Thank You for Making Kindness Matter
At Jessup Farm, we've always believed that community is about more than gathering together; it's about showing up for one another.
Kindness Matters Month is a chance for all of us to make a meaningful impact through simple acts of generosity. We hope you'll join us in supporting Project Self-Sufficiency and the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program throughout August.
The next time you visit the Farm, consider bringing a donation with you. Together, we can help local families thrive, give injured birds a second chance, and remind one another that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
We can't wait to see you at Jessup Farm this August.
